NaComLeavMo begins

Well, actually it began yesterday - a whole month of efforts to leave comments all over other people's blogs! I am thoroughly enjoying it and it has made me realise that as much as I love getting comments I am not particularly good at leaving any!

However, that's the good thing about NaComLeavMo as you have to leave a minimum of five comments and return at least one that has been left on your own blog. The best thing is that once I get started I want to keep going, so it is very likely that I will be writing more than the daily quota of comments and hopefully establish a new habit as I know that it is not very motivating to be writing blog posts that no-one seems to respond to!

I have already had some new comments on my blog and have visited others and left comments and that's how it all starts, how you begin to establish bloggy relationships and start to exchange ideas and thoughts and generally discover a whole other world out there!

So, if you are wondering why your blog never gets any comments, then it is likely that no-one even knows you are there!! You need to begin commenting and taking part in collective blog events so that people know that you actually have a blog and will begin to visit and leave you messages!

And on a day like this - a very very wet holiday Monday - it is a good day to rummage around the blogosphere and see what been written lately!

I read so often and think it is hard to be able to add anything useful to all the great posts out there. But I really should comment more. I'll try for that this month. Thanks for the inspiration.

isn't it a bummer when the weather plots against us. It was wet and cold all week last week and since most of the blogosphere is northern hemisphere everyone in most places is excited about spring or summer. It is almost enough to make me weep when I think to hard about it. ah to feel a fresh atlantic canadian early summer morning (where I'm originally from).

Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving a comment on my blog! You are so right about the importance of reaching out into the blogosphere. I love NaComLeavMo!!

I look forward to keeping in touch and continuing to check up on your progress. :)

Hey Sam!

Thanks for coming to my blog - NaComLeavMo will expand our minds won't it? And, it's so cool to run into a Christian woman blogger too! Think I might check out your icon that links you to other Christian women.

You ARE correct, my blogger header IS Edinburgh!! You're the first one to recognize it!! Gold star for you! (ok, but kinda not fair, since you only live a few hundred miles from it, but still - good eye!)

Yes, I have been there. My husband and I took a 6 week trip to Europe after I finally finished school and we travelled through 7 different countries - Scotland was our favorite - the people there are wonderful. England was ok, but too expensive - we only got to London and not the Lake District like we wanted to.

It's funny we went 4 years ago, but everytime we tell the story it was always "about 2 years ago" just b/c we've been on this infertility rollercoaster for 2 years AKA when time stopped.

I pray your calf heals swiftly and you'll be ready for your wee little run next month - good on you!

I'm having fun with NaComLeavMo too! It's good to have something to motivate me to get out there and actually comment on other blogs- especially the blogs of people I don't know (yet). Although, I'm finding lots that I want to track and that's going to take lots of time. :)

I'm like you - I started commenting this evening and I've just kept going! I love readig other blogs and commenting on them. Unfortunately, I didn't make it onto the list (thought I had responded, but, I guess I didn't), but, I'm playing along anyway1
